Manufacture of Steel Building Products

An Optimization Study of Operations and Maintenance at a facility that manufactured steel building products was undertaken.  An audit of processes led to recommendations for the formalization of job setups, housekeeping, maintenance strategy, quality, safety and health management, shop floor control, and training.  The company was provided with an Operations Training Manual, a Maintenance Manual and a written procedure for the use of Maintenance Management Software.

Printing and Packaging

This project was in the area of Operations and Supply Chain Management.  The study was required to ensure the most efficient implementation and integration of a new process.  Recommendations centred around utilizing the Theory of Constraints.

 
Industrial Electrical Products

A comprehensive review of the areas impacting inventory management of steel sheets including product design, process design, production planning, production accounting and waste management led to recommendations for optimizing the usage of steel sheets and improving the accounting for steel sheet usage.

 
Label Printing (in process)

KANDON is currently developing new operating procedures and updating old procedures.  Graphic shop floor procedures are being developed to assist new employees to understand processes as swiftly as possible.
